Tenuta Fratini Hortense Bolgheri Superiore

The grapes come from three different vineyards located between 180 and 280 meters above sea level on sedimentary rock soils. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in used barriques for 12 months. A deep, dense, dark ruby red. The nose is refined and complex, with a hint of volcanic minerality, black fruit, blackberry, and a salty, marine note. A pleasant hint of lavender closes the balanced and eccentric nose. On the palate, it offers great fullness and balance. A wine that combines strength with freshness, a weightless power, vigorous yet subtle. The tannins are fine and add volume; the long finish brings back notes of myrtle, caper, and Mediterranean scrub.
